Dear Nobles,
Please find in the enclosed mailing all
information for 2011 CSASMC Competition and Awards Banquet in
Overland Park Kansas consisting of:

Committees
Competition will be held at the
Olathe District Activities Complex located at 21201 W 159 St.
Olathe, Kansas.
This is the same complex where Competition was held in 2005. The
Overland Park Committee proposed several sites for our
Competition, all of which were inspected by several Officers and
all rejected for various reasons. The Activities Complex was
obtained only with the agreement that we clean and vacate the
complex no later than 3 PM. For this reason, Competition must
start by 7:30 AM or sooner depending on the number of
Units that register
for Competition. All times will
be given at the Fall Meeting on Thursday. The Fields will
be set up on Thursday
September 1 starting at 8:00 AM.
The Fall Meeting will be held on Thursday at
the
Overland Park Convention Center located at 6000 College Blvd.
The Meeting will start at 2:30 PM and will be in Suite A next to
the market place. All Competition times and information on
Competition and parking will be given at this Meeting. All Awards
Banquet tickets will be available prior to and after the meeting.
The Awards Banquet will be held on Friday
Sept. 2 at the
Overland Park Convention
Center located at 6000 College Blvd. There will be a social
hour with a cash bar starting at 5:30 PM. The Awards Banquet will
follow at 6:30 PM with your choice of Grilled Rosemary Chicken or
Pork Loin with spiced apple chutney. The cost is $30.00 per person
and the complete menu is on the enclosed Reservation Form. All
Banquet forms and payment must be sent to Ron Harvey at the
address on the form. Units are requested to send one check made
out to Ron Harvey. Seating will be assigned by Units
if all reservations are made on the same form.
Checks and the Reservation Form must be
RECEIVED no later than August 25, which is only one week from
the Banquet. Reservation made at the last minute over the phone
will not be considered.
All Units who desire to enter Competition
in any form must be in good standing with dues paid to
CSASMC. Registration for Competitive Drill, Obstacle Course, Show
Car, and Show Bike Competition must be made with the Secretary no
later than August 19. Any Unit registering late will still be able
to compete, but it may be in a consolidated class and will be
assessed a $25.00 late registration fee. Registration forms may be
sent by regular mail or email only at the addresses on the form. A
return reply will be sent verifying your registration if a contact
name and address is given on the form. If you do not receive a
return reply within a few days, contact the Secretary to be sure
that it was received.
All CSASMC information is now being sent by
email for those who would rather get it
that way.
Those who do not have an email will continue to receive
information by regular mail.
If anyone in your Unit would like to be added to the email
list, please send their name, Unit name and address to me at
csasmcsec@cox.net.
